Scheduler
The Scheduler is a calendar-based planning tool for managing driver shifts and order timelines. It provides the human-readable planning surface for your fleet operations, while the Orchestrator handles automated multi-phase assignments.
What the Scheduler Shows
Fleet View
A weekly calendar with one row per driver, showing:
- Shift blocks — when each driver is on duty
- Scheduled orders — orders assigned within each shift
- Availability windows — gaps where new orders can be assigned
Driver View
A single-driver timeline showing:
- Daily shifts
- Assigned orders
- Breaks
- HOS (Hours of Service) status
Key Features
Shift Schedule Management
Create and manage recurring shift schedules per driver:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Day of week | Which days this shift applies |
| Start time | Shift start time |
| End time | Shift end time |
| Break duration | Total break time within the shift |
| Recurrence | Weekly, biweekly, or custom |
Order Scheduling
- Drag-and-drop orders onto driver rows to assign them to a shift
- Set
scheduled_attime on orders to block a specific time slot - View conflicts when orders overlap or exceed shift capacity
HOS Compliance
The Scheduler tracks driver Hours of Service to help operators stay compliant with transport regulations. Drivers approaching or exceeding HOS limits are highlighted visually.
Orchestrator Integration
Run the Orchestrator directly from the Scheduler view — it uses the shift windows defined here to constrain driver assignments. After the Orchestrator commits, manifests appear as ordered stop lists per driver.
Navigation
Access the Scheduler via Fleet Management → Operations → Scheduler.
Configuration
Scheduling settings (default shift duration, HOS rules, timezone) are managed in Fleet Management → Settings → Scheduling.
